POSO NEGRO

I have always tried my best to understand you. The first step in doing so is by listening to you. Sometimes or I mean… most of the time you don’t make sense to me. But I still listen, I still try to understand.

There are times I want to contribute in the conversation. I have brilliant ideas! I know, for people always admire me for being a smart-ass girl who can speak her mind. But with you I am rendered mute. You shhh me every time I want to talk, and every time you do so I crumble a little bit inside while thinking… If my thoughts don’t matter and don’t deserve to be heard… How can I ever matter to you?

You matter to me. I put you in a pedestal of all things beautiful and that of which I choose to love. But after all this time, baby you give me second thoughts. Nabulagan lang ata ako.

Don’t get me wrong, you are beautiful. I still put you in that pedestal. I will still try to listen, to understand, and to care. Even if you don’t. Even if every time I show you my affection you try to pacify me. But heads up, my adoration for you is starting to drain into a dirty canal which leads to a pile of shit. Because you treat me like shit. And I don’t deserve that.

Still, with much Love,

THEATRE HORSE GOES TO MANILA!

Our indie theatre group Theatre Horse performed in an event in Manila for the first time, April 5, 2013! This event “EXPRESSION SESSION” is under UNILAB’s Fit To Win Campaign. The program was about love and relationships. Johnoy Danao serenaded the crowd and in between his songs the Theatre Horse performed a series of dialogues and monologues. After the acoustic and theatrical performances, a fun and insightful love forum was held with panelists Arun Gogna, Joji Racelis, and Ramon Bautista. It was a long day for us but we definitely are fulfilled with this experience! Thank you Charmie Abarquez of Team Asia for inviting us! Please like the Unilab Fit To Win page for more updates on their upcoming events! Thank you everyone!

THE POTIPOT ISLAND EXPERIENCE

30 March 13. I went to my bespren Jewel’s house early that evening in preparation for our 2am call time for our Potipot, Zambales trip that day! After 4 years, I got to spend my Good Friday in Morong, Rizal again. I love spending Good Fridays in Morong, Rizal because they still have rich culture and tradition regarding prusisyon and senakulo. I enjoyed the night especially with the company of super kulit Dixie (Jewel’s cousin) and of course, our gay friend Miguel.

image
Kym, Aaron, Carla & Kristian, Jewel, Miguel and I got to leave Morong at around 3am. We arrived at Potipot Zambales around 8am. Yes it was a looong ride and we spent most of the time story telling, talking, sleeping, and eating Aaron’s famous kamaron (fried crispy taba ng baboy).image

We had breakfast in Jollibee Olonggapo. I felt thrilled seeing Gapo knowing that my BFF Camille Arigo grew up around there and in SBMA. I also got amazed with its vintage, “Old Manila” look.

After a few hours, we finally arrived in Candelaria, Zambales where Potipot Island is located. We checked in at Potipot Gateway Resort where my balikbayan friend Kym Golla made our day trip reservation.

image

The resort was beautiful! We spent the first few hours of our day trip by taking photos and enjoying the good food and wonderful views.

We then traveled to Potipot Island at around 930am. The boat ride was shorter than expected… but really exciting! Yipeee!

image

image

Potipot Island is beautiful. It has crystal blue waters and rich white sand! We spent our morning appreciating the sound of the ocean while dipping in the waves and enjoying the sun. The island is pegged to be “A Virgin Island” but with our experience, I think the island needs more monitoring from the government of Candelaria. A lot of people visit the island and it’s kinda getting polluted. There should be a more organized process in visiting the island and in handling the tourists.

image

We headed back to the resort at around 12nn and chowed down on a yummy lunch! We had sinigang na hipon, liempo and mango shake! It was sooo good! We also enjoyed the company of our friend Ronnie Pascual through FaceTime. We had him on the phone the whole lunchtime since he was not able to join the trip. It was fun!

image

After playing around and swimming in the resort’s nice pool, we already cleaned ourselves up for departure. We left the resort at 4pm and arrived in Rizal at around 11pm. The ride was so long we needed to stop by at McDonald’s! Hihi.

image

All of us were tired so we spent most of the way back’s time sleeping. I also got a phone call from Jam and he accompanied me until I got home safely.

Our friends Ronnie and Joryl were not able to join this trip. Next time we hope we’d be complete! The more the merrier!

Thank you Kym Golla, U.S. R.N. for this awesome summer beach trip! Ingat pagbalik ng States!

High School friends forever!!! I’m quite sure about this!

P.S. I will add more photos soon!

Much Love,

SUMMER JUMPSTART WITH JAM AND FRIENDS

Last March 22, 2013, Friday, we had a night out with Jam’s high school friends at Pansol, Laguna. It was my first time to meet more of his elementary and high school friends. I also got to meet his mom and tita/ titos. It was a night to remember!

I grabbed the photos from Maruh, one of Jam’s high school batchmates and his best friend Ralph’s girlfriend. Maruh and Ralph celebrated their 5th year of being together that night too!

I am still waiting for our friend Mary to upload more photos from the said outing. Can’t wait!

PS. I am excited for the next bonding event! Jam’s bringing me to a new one soon!

Much Love,

I DON’T KNOW HOW TO SWIM

I embrace loving the wrong person just because I want someone’s arms around me. I think I have grown to see beauty in every mess one could make that I allow myself to dive in in a deceiving ocean of love, enjoying the struggle of paddling and gasping for breath, thinking that drowning in it would be the next best thing.

Maybe that’s the reason why after loving, I always find myself in an island with nothing at all. I wake up exhausted, sobbing while shouting for help. I then realize that no one will be there for me. For when I choose to fall in love, I do it only on my own. It just sucks I always end up making myself lonelier than when I am actually alone. It’s stupid and I hate myself for being smart enough to know it. But I still do it. I trust, I try and I hope that one day the person I will choose to love is the right person. He will save me from drowning and he will choose to stay.

Right now, people come into my life and when I have already loved them so much, they leave and take a piece of my heart with them. It pains so much knowing that again, I have lost a part of me. Now, I feel like my life has become a search for all the missing pieces of my heart and in this search, I only end up giving more people the chance to rob me.

Love, you are beautiful, but please deceive me not. Let me know if I can find the missing pieces of my heart beneath your ocean, so that the next time I dive in, the risk of drowning will be worth it.

Much Love,

JAM-MING ON A HOT DAY

I’ve been spending my days talking and sharing things about life with this guy. His name is JAM (Jo-Anthony Macaraan). We’re both weird and twisted!

Yesterday was another day with him. We made tambay the whole afternoon under the heat of summer-sunshine! I’m looking forward to more days with him.

image

image

image

Of course, I have solo photos enjoying my Jollibee Coffee Float! Perfect for the hot afternoon! Pampagising at pampalamig!

image

image

When Jam went to take siesta I ended up watching a youtube video of a make- up tutorial! This is the result!

image

Bongga diba! I did all these yesterday! I was also making a paper about the movie Romeo and Juliet which was shown in 1996, starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Claire Danes under the direction of Baz Luhrmann. It is an interestingly made movie and I am off to continue making this paper! ‘Til next time!

Much Love,

M ♥
